About
Meet Jess
Hi I’m Jess.
Occupational Therapist. Yogi. Writer. Hiker. Traveller. Photographer. Fur-mum. Imperfect. Human.
Using an empathic, collaborative and strengths-based approach, I aim to inspire confidence and clarity in my clients in order to live a full and purposeful life. I view wellness through a holistic lens and with an emphasis on balance of mind, body, and spirit. Out of office, you will likely find me chasing the sun, snow, earth, and sea.
With an initial plan to study Medicine, I completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Studies in 2012. In the years following, through my own lived experience with mental health and disability, I discovered my identity and passion - as a true therapist at heart. In 2016 I graduated with a Masters of Occupational Therapy Studies (Research) and since this time, I have had the privilege of specialising my OT skills and experience in mental health, neurodivergent, & neurological conditions whilst working across diverse populations and areas (metropolitan, regional, and rural) and public, private, not-for-profit sectors.
Alongside clinical practice, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to education as a sessional lecturer in Occupational Therapy at Bond University, and delivering training and workshops to organisations across health, education, and community sectors.
I am an accredited Medicare Better Access to Mental Health provider, AHPRA registered and a proud member of Occupational Therapy Australia and of the OT National Reference Groups for Mental Health Occupational Therapists, and Culture/Diversity.
